The UK left the European Union on the 31st of January. The transition (sometimes called the implementation period) will end on December 31st 2020. It cannot be extended beyond that date, so from January 1st 2021 new rules will be introduced which will affect aspects of exporting products from the UK, importing goods to the UK, and food labelling.
Updates have been made with reference to a proposed 21-month “period of adjustment” for products sold in Great Britain. Some required labelling changes for goods sold in GB will be subject to a 21-month period of adjustment, i.e. until September 30th 2022.
The International Trade Alliance is able to drive you through the Brexit transition that starts from January 1st 2021 and will adopt different regulations from the EU relating to imports and exports.
